Water Rescue Throwline (4500 lb. Strength)
Our most popular and highly recommended double braid water rescue throwline featuring a recently developed multifilament polypropylene fiber core that has twice the tensile strength of standard multifilament polypropylene yarn. The tightly braided sheath of premium quality DuPont nylon provides abrasion resistance plus adds to the overall strength. This combination produces a strong, floating, flexible, highly visible yet economical rope. This is the rope used in our #4570 Water Rescue Throw Bags found on page 152. DO NOT USE FOR RAPPELLING OR RESCUE SYSTEMS. Diameter: 3/8(10mm). Tensile strength: 4500 lbs.(2041kg). Colors: bright yellow with orange strikers standard, yellow with blue strikers and solid yellow are optional.

Water Rescue Throwline (5000 lb. Strength)
This kernmantle rope combines the unique properties of two different fibers to produce a line with the best features of each. A nylon jacket makes for greater strength and increased abrasion resistance, while the multifilament polypropylene core allows the rope to float. Excellent as a water rescue throwline. DO NOT USE FOR RAPPELLING OR RESCUE SYSTEMS. Diameter: 7/16(11mm). Tensile strength: 5000 lbs.(2268kg). Color: bright yellow.

Water Rescue Rope‑Kernmantle
Construction is of the kernmantle design: The continuous stranded core is made of multifilament polypropylene which provides the buoyancy to float the braided nylon sheath. The sheath is the same nylon braid that makes PMI ropes number one in abrasion resistance. PMI WATER RESCUE ROPES SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR RAPPELLING OR TO LIFT CRITICAL LIVE LOADS.
CONSTRUCTION: Kernmantle
MATERIAL: Sheath DuPont 707 type 6,6 nylon; core Phillips multifilament polypropylene.
ELONGATION (stretch): Greater than 50% at failure.
HEAT RESISTANCE: Core melts at 235F.(113C). Sheath melts at 480F.(249C).
BRAID: one over one under for high abrasion resistance
CORE: Continuous, spliceless parallel fiber bundles.
IDENTIFICATION: Continuous marker in core.
LENGTH: Any length from 1 foot to over one mile.
COLOR: Sheath bright yellow with blue stripe. Core off white.

VIS-MAT High Visibility Water Rescue Rope
VIS-MAT uses yarns made with 3M Scotchlite reflective material braided directly into the sheath. Thus, the rope can be seen clearly even in pitch-black conditions when a light is shined on it. Fluorescent yarn in the sheath also provides high visibility during daytime and low light conditions. Color: Yellow sheath with blue and reflective tracer.

PMI Water Rescue Throw Rope
This rope is intended for use as a bagged
throw rope for boat or shore based rescue. The polypropylene core provides
floatation, while the nylon sheath gives this line superior abrasion
resistance.

12-Strand hollow braid of 100% high tenacity polypropylene that flakes easily, resists kinking, and floats indefinitely.
Features:
· Spliceable
·
Bright yellow cover aids in visibility
Applications:
Sunlight/UV:
Very little degradation from sunlight. Can be used outside
over long term if inspected regularly.
Chemicals:
Polypropylene has excellent resistance to most acids and alkalines,
except chlorosulphonic, concentrated sulfuric acids,
and chlorinated hydrocarbons at 160°F. Polypropylene also withstands most
diluted bleaching solutions.
Heat:
Polypropylene melts at 330°F with progressive strength loss above 200°F.
Dielectrics:
Good resistance to the passage of electrical current. However, dirt, surface
contaminants, water entrapment, and the like can significantly affect
dielectric properties. Extreme caution should be exercised any time a rope is
in the proximity of live circuits.
