          Continuous Loop Slings

The all‑purpose rescue and climbing tool. Used for rigging, anchor slings, hose grab tool, to secure ladders and equipment, directionals, stirrups in haul­ing systems and as an emergency dia­per style harness. There are hundreds of other possibilities. CL series slings are fabricated of high quali­ty one inch tubular nylon webbing MIL SPEC #MIL‑W‑5625, 4000 lbs.(1814kg). Because the webbing is dou­bled in use, we get consistent tests of the finished slings in excess of 5000 lbs.(2268kg). Heavy duty HDCL series slings are made of one inch solid nylon webbing MIL SPEC #MIL‑W‑4088J, 6000 lbs.(2722kg). Heavy duty slings test at over 5500 lbs.(2495kg). Both slings are sewn with size 84 nylon thread. Stitching is a contrasting color to quickly show any sign of wear or abrasion. Weight will vary with size. There are hundreds of other possible uses. TL runners are fabricated of high quality one inch tubular nylon webbing MIL SPEC #MIL‑W-­5625, 4000 lbs.(1814kg), test strength. HDTL heavy duty runners are made of one inch solid nylon webbing MIL SPEC #MIL‑W‑4088J, test strength 6000 lbs.(2722kg). All runners are sewn with #84 nylon thread. Weight will vary with length. We can custom tailor any type of sling, runner or other item made of webbing to fit your needs. This type of equip­ment can be made from any of the types or colors of webbing listed in the Webbing Section of this catalog. Just give us a drawing showing what you need and we will be happy to provide a prompt quotation. Allow 3 to 5 weeks for delivery of custom sewn gear.

WARNING Any item made of webbing requires constant evaluation. Replace if worn, abraded, cut or damaged. Avoid sharp edges (pad if necessary). Avoid exposure to sunlight. Avoid nylon on nylon friction. Do not use without proper training. Clean with mild detergent and water. Inspect regularly before and after each use. Do not exceed safe working loads imprinted on label.

They are a big help in getting over difficult edges for the rappeller and for litter work. A very useful tool which should be packed with every litter. Recommended mainly for positioning, webbing lanyards are economical, abrasion-resistant, and easy to clean and store. They are manufactured from 1”(2.5cm) wide, highly visible yellow nylon. The #210WLS is an adjustable webbing lanyard from 4’ to 6’(1.2 to1.8m), weighing 2 lbs.(.9kg), with a locking snap on each end. It provides tie-off flexibility depending on work environment. The #212WLS is a non-adjustable 6’(1.8m) webbing lanyard, weighing 1.1 lbs.(.5kg), with a locking snap on one end and a loop on the other. Used in combination with carabiners for attachment to anchor points.

Shock Absorbing Lanyards

Hard working lanyards designed for use by window cleaners or anyone that works in high exposed locations. The shock absorber begins to extend when exposed to a shock load in excess of 550 lbs.(250kg). This action absorbs a portion of the forces developed during the fall that would otherwise be transferred to the worker. Maximum extension is 22”(56.5cm) when the shock absorber has been totally used. The residual strength of the shock absorber is 5000 lbs.(2272kg). Lanyards feature steel snaps on both ends, optional double locking steel snaps are available. Clip‑in style has loops on both ends sized to accept carabiners. Standard length is 5’(1.5m). Shorter lengths are available at no extra charge [minimum length 2.5’(76cm)].
